If you are interested in Baptism, January 5th is a scheduled Baptism date. Please go to www.resurrectionsurfside.org and click on the “Services” tab and follow it to the Baptism Page to download the application. Return the application to the office and you will be contacted to set up a meeting with Fr. Ron. All of those desiring Baptism will be asked to attend our Baptism Seminar.
The Baptism Seminar is designed to lead parents, godparents, and grandparents into a complete understanding of the joy and commitment of bringing their child up in the Christian faith, beginning with the vows spoken during the Baptismal Covenant. This seminar is also designed for the adult who desires baptism. The seminar is held one day prior to the Baptism. During the seminar, participants discuss the nature of sacraments, the historical and Biblical foundations of Baptism, and explore the role of parents, godparents, grandparents, and the church. Also included is a review of the order of the service, and an opportunity to create a letter to the baptized child.
